Day 68 ~ Synchroncity TWO

John Steinbeck arrived in my living room this morning.

Not the man, although it might have been. Through a series of small coincidences, words he’d written years ago showed up in my present and connected me completely to what I wrote last night. I don’t know him well; I only read him in school.

Today I knew him as  my friend, simply because of his words.

Here’s what he wrote:

“A journey is like a person in itself; no two are alike, and all plans, safeguards, policing, and coercion are fruitless. We find after years of struggle that we do not take a trip; a trip takes us.”

The journey continues to take me; what’s different now is that I know it.

I’m paying attention.
