Day 22 ~ More Perspective

I had the idea that this blog would take on a life of its own when I started it, although I don’t think I had any idea of what that really meant.
I had the idea that I would keep writing every day to an unseen audience, just like Julie did in “Julie & Julia.” Like her, I was waiting to see who my readers were; until I found them, I would just write whatever came into my heart, and trust that my readers would find me.
That’s starting to happen – thank you! (And thank you , Nancy, for your comment today)
And…I’ve gotten to the point where I’m starting to watch.
The  danger I perceive here comes from the past, when watching myself–and judging myself–always stopped me from writing. That’s when I start to think about what I should be doing, instead of just doing what I’m doing.
Has that ever happened to you?
So right here right now, I pledge not to do that. I’m going to trust the process of our conversation. I’m going to trust that what I need to write is exactly what you want to read. I’m going to take that for granted and proceed from here.
Although it feels like walking a tightrope right now,  I’m going to trust that this is my version of the Yellow Brick Road.
